Mettle is excited to share that we have been appointed by Health Infrastructure as the early works contractor for the Fairfield Hospital Redevelopment. This marks our second project at Fairfield Hospital and the South Western Sydney Local Health District, where we have begun the design finalisation and construction of three on‑grade car parks. We’re glad to be back at the Fairfield campus, where we will draw on our previous experience to deliver these works across multiple stages. This will ensure continuity for the hospital and minimise any disruption along the way. Forming part of the NSW Government’s $630 million Fairfield Hospital Redevelopment, this early works package will help enable the hospital’s future expansion, which aims to support additional medical and rehabilitation beds, increased emergency and critical care capacity, as well as enhance hospital and community health services for locals. We are looking forward to delivering this alongside our project partners. As works on site begin at Park Row, 383 Wickham Street, we take a moment to bless the project and acknowledge the traditional custodians. The formalities included a traditional greeting by the Ceremony Master, an incense blessing, and remarks from Lu Li. A ceremonial table was also prepared featuring symbolic gestures representing prosperity, good fortune and a successful build ahead. Following this, a Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony recognised the Traditional Custodians of the land and paid respect to Elders past and present. To conclude the morning, project partners gathered for a symbolic sod-turn photo opportunity, marking the official start of works at Park Row. We look forward to seeing this exciting project take shape in the months ahead.

PROJECT COMPLETION | Mettle has recently completed the revitalisation of the Pyrmont Bridge East Amenities in collaboration with Placemaking NSW. Designed by @hdr_inc , the refurbishment demonstrates how thoughtful architecture, inspired by the site’s heritage elements, can seamlessly integrate with Pyrmont Bridge and its surrounding infrastructure. With sustainability at the core of the project, construction waste was reduced by preserving the existing building and services within, and the project’s environmental performance was further enhanced through the use of natural ventilation, water saving fittings, and energy efficient lighting. We thank all our project partners whose collaboration ensured the successful delivery of a contemporary space that now supports the high volume of pedestrians in Darling Harbour. What an incredible experience at the @inertiaeng Great Race Across Brisbane! Our team had an absolute blast getting involved in all the challenges throughout the day — and yes, we definitely discovered a few very competitive spirits among us! While we didn’t take home the win, we’re proud to have been part of such a fantastic event supporting an even greater cause. A huge thank you to our friends at Inertia for putting together an amazing video montage capturing the day — it truly reflects the energy, teamwork, and fun we shared. We’re especially proud to support Emma Clements as she takes on the Hike for Homeless Youth this Saturday. Wishing you all the very best, Emma — we’re cheering you on every step of the way! For the past 6 months, Mettle has been collaborating in an ECI with @chaptertwogroup , @savillsaunz & @cerastribley to convert a redundant albeit prime location inner-city office building into a luxury residential apartment complex - an example of adaptive re-use at its best! Through a collaborative approach and a "Nothing is off the table" mindset, the team managed to produce a 30% reduction in cost whilst maintaining design intent and Chapter Two's vision for the building. Countless revisits to the drawing board led the team to a design which is faster to build, and value optimized without sacrificing the size or quality of the end product. In fact, all apartment layouts have improved throughout the process. This project sets the standard for what the ECI process can achieve when the client, builder and design team work together to make the project feasible, buildable and beautiful! Mettle continues to build its ECI portfolio and capability as we see this procurement model become more the norm in today's market. Congrats to Chapter Two on their determination to make this project viable and set up to succeed. Interested in learning more? Please reach out to the team at Mettle. Last Friday, members of the Mettle Queensland team attended the NAWIC International Women’s Day event at Sofitel Brisbane. It was a fantastic afternoon connecting with others across the industry and hearing inspiring stories from women shaping the future of construction. This year’s International Women’s Day theme highlights the idea of balancing the scales recognising the ongoing work required to create greater equity and opportunity across industries like ours. At Mettle, we recognise that increasing female representation in construction requires more than conversation, it requires action. Over the past 18 months we have taken several steps to support women entering and progressing within the industry, including: - Setting a target to achieve 30% female representation across our business - Welcoming two female construction cadets and supporting their development through dedicated mentoring - Partnering with QUT and UNSW Women in Construction Programs, providing university students with structured 40-day industry placements - Joining NAWIC and supporting industry mentoring programs - Supporting initiatives such as DV Safe and local community programs empowering young women Events like the NAWIC IWD gathering are an important reminder of the progress being made across our industry. Thank you to NAWIC for hosting such a great event and bringing the industry together.

What an incredible night! On Wednesday night last week, we had the pleasure of co hosting the @tree_of_knowledge_au_nz event in Sydney with @specificgroupltd , at the new venue, The Paragon. It was a fantastic event, bringing together so many talented people from across the construction industry. It was great to see familiar faces, reconnect with our existing network, and meet plenty of new ones. The energy in the room reminded us just how strong and supportive our industry community really is. A few highlights: • Meaningful conversations with industry peers • New connections that sparked fresh ideas • Reconnecting with colleagues and partners we haven’t seen in a while • A room full of collaboration, insight, and good humour A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a vibrant, enjoyable evening. Events like this are a reminder that our industry thrives on relationships—and this event was a perfect example of that. Looking forward to the next one already!

Another milestone delivered at our Ormiston Rise – Building 2 Project The Team successfully completed a major concrete pour of the Level 2 transfer slab, placing an impressive 330m³ of concrete in a single pour. The numbers behind the pour: - 48 concrete trucks (@hymix_australia ) - 2 concrete boom pumps - including one dual-feed setup (@mealesconcretepumping ) - Over 20 concreters on site (LJ Crete Group) - 11 hours to complete The pour went off without a hitch - this doesn’t happen without planning and teamwork. A big thank you to all our team, subcontractors & supply partners involved who made this milestone possible. Another solid step forward in delivery for the Ormiston Rise Community.

Working with Construction Unity Group and @bureauproberts , Mettle has been engaged to breathe new life into the Heritage Listed Coronation Hotel in South Brisbane. Originally built in 1891 and named the Montague Hotel, the building has been many different things... Including a Backpackers during Expo 88, and more recently, a cocktail bar. The building will undergo a detailed refurbishment of the existing heritage components, with the addition of a new extension to become some of Brisbane’s most unique commercial office space. Stay tuned for updates! #ConstructionUnityGroup #BureauProberts #Mettle #heritagerefurbishment

This year, our teams in NSW and QLD hosted our annual Loud Shirt Charity Golf Days and the result was something truly special. What began as Marc Kenney’s vision of “Good People Doing Good Things Together” was on full display across both states, with contractors, suppliers, sponsors and our Mettle teams rallying behind a cause close to our hearts: support @hearandsay . Across the two events, we are incredibly proud to share that together we raised more than $266,000 to help children and adults with hearing loss access life-changing support. None of this would have been possible without the generosity, energy, and goodwill of everyone who attended, sponsored, donated, volunteered, or helped bring these days to life. Your support creates real impact and we are so grateful. Thank you for standing with us, for showing up in your loudest shirts, and for helping us give back in a meaningful way. We’re already looking forward to making next year even brighter, louder, and full of even more good.

We are excited to announce that our relationship with Tranquil Retirement Group (@ormistonrise ) is continuing with our appointment to construct Ormiston Rise Building 2. After the successful completion of Building 3, Mettle was engaged under an ECI basis to manage the Design and ultimately prepare a Design and Construct price to carry out the works. During the ECI phase Mettle were able to: • Import in lessons learnt from Building 3 construction • Improve design outcomes to provide a better end product • Derisk the process • Deliver a cost competitive solution for the project A big thank you to the Tranquil Retirement Group and Entero for working with us collaboratively during this process – this was an essential ingredient in achieving the results we have. With the project scheduled for completion in January 2027, we are proud to continue delivering thoughtfully designed spaces that support comfort, community, and independence for residents. More updates to come as we progress!
