So excited to share that my thesis film, Dive & Trek, is officially complete after months of work and love put into it! It will soon begin its festival run. While it won’t be publicly available just yet, here’s the first look at the poster 🤿🤎🪸
I am thrilled to announce that I had the honour of directing my junior film, and it wouldn’t have been possible without my incredible and dedicated team!! After four months, 23 meetings, and countless hours invested, the project is finally complete. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and it has given me a greater appreciation for animation.
Experience the premiere of Miss Illusion at the SVA Theatre on Feb 10th, alongside other outstanding group films!! Can’t wait to see you there!

It’s almost been a year since I made Dive & Trek!
When I began this film, I wanted to explore my love for diving and the life beneath the surface. I’m so grateful it resonated and even garnered some press. Sharing a drawing from memory of one of my dives.

Thank you to @tisdc.tw for flying me in to accept the Environmental Sustainability Award. This film was made to shed light on the dangers of coral harvesting and the systemic pressures faced by coastal communities, and I’m truly honored it was chosen from over 16,000 entries. It was such a meaningful experience to be among so many talented creatives, make new friends, and spend time in Taiwan.

Miss Illusion is an animated Short film directed by Meryl Chan (@merylstudios ), and created by 20 School of Visual Arts students who collaborated to make this film from start to finish within a 14 week animation workshop.

I’m about to graduate, and I thought what would be a fun way to celebrate? So I decided to host a small exhibition of my work from the past four years of studying animation!
Kudos to anyone creating right now—it’s such a tedious but incredibly satisfying process. Looking back at everything I’ve made feels surreal, and this was my way of honoring that journey and sharing it with the friends and family who’ve supported me along the way 🤍
