Maybe even the return of our beloved (belovaged?) lovage Caesar salad?! we’ve got some tried and true favorites and a few fun new dishes lined up. hi! so excited to announce that we will be selling the chili crisp from the bean salad (and most recently the grilled raabs) on our menu at ~two~ farmers markets this spring through winter season! we’ve been selling this condiment around the holidays for the last couple of years, but have gotten a ton of requests to sell it year-round. so here we are!mountains of shallots, garlic and lemon peels are in our future. we even got a very cute new label devised by @fromzab (I need to sharpen my sticker-sticking skills though). catch us every second and fourth Saturday at @hollywoodfarmersmarketpdx starting April 11 and every second and fourth Sunday at @montavillafarmersmarket starting May 10. tiny $4 baby jar pictured but we’ll have a bigger size too and hopefully other sauces (fermented pepper? preserved lemon relish?!) as the seasons change. hope to see you there!

for the past month I (Olivia!) have been haunted by the idea of making a cloud-like dessert that would incorporate the acidic brightness of citrus and the balancing floral notes of an aromatic tea. so I made one, for you, that you can eat tonight and tomorrow at @heavenlycreaturespdx :,) grapefruit and pomelo mousse infused with silver needle jasmine and green jasmine teas, fresh winter citrus underneath, orange liqueur caramel, candied sesame seeds and kumquats on top. a cumulus of citrus! The first hour is a hosted happy hour featuring ocean inspired bites from @merrowpdx , a new pop up by chefs Alec Hess and Olivia Starkie, 🐟 alongside seaweed cocktails and thoughtful mocktails crafted by Cindy Capparelli of @pdxbitters . hi! hopping on here with some important news. for our health, and for the financial health of our business, we’re taking a step back from our pop-up dinner service at Cafe Olli and focusing on other projects at this time. we’ll no longer be in residency at Cafe Olli, but we’ve loved our time there and getting to meet, cook and talk to all of you! big thanks to everyone who has supported us, including the whole Cafe Olli crew, and to our wonderful staff who we love so much. it’s been a wild adventure, but we need to rest, take some time and regroup during this slower season. but! we are not done with Merrow. we will still be at @winterwaterspnw this coming Sunday and Monday. we also have some exciting plans in the works for selling our chili crisp and doing some monthly pop-ups. stay tuned, stay warm, and thank you again from the bottoms of our hearts and souls for everything!

On Monday, February 2, we are taking over The Redd, in Portland, Oregon, for a lively seafood happy hour that brings together film, food, and the future of our oceans. 🌊 This relaxed evening builds on the momentum of our sold out coastal showing last winter and opens the doors to a broader Portland audience. Filmmakers, creatives, chefs, scientists, food system thinkers, and anyone curious about where culture, climate, and storytelling meet are invited to gather, sip, snack, and connect.
