We had a blast in Austin playing @sxsw . It was my first time attending as an artist - myself, @taylorjamesgoss and @peteajonas felt right at home playing for y’all. Thank you to everyone who rolled up to our @cpcatx gig - what an honour to play such a legendary venue ON MY BIRTHDAY!? Saw some incredible artist which I’ll share in another post. Big highlight was getting out into the country a lil bit to see the @british_underground night and the @collingsguitars factory. More video to come!

My cover of @officialcsny ’s ‘4 + 20’ is streaming everywhere. Produced and mixed by @taylorjamesgoss at Groove Masters in LA in January. We made it in about 3 hours and just figured we had to put it out. this song from Deja Vu always stopped me in my tracks, even as a kid when its weight had not yet sunk in. @stephenstillsofficial is still the goat.

When I floated the idea of a music video for ‘Chicane’ to @_lauriecase_ , we knew we wanted to try and dramatise the story of the song through movement. A kind of ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ duet, playing with magnetisation and confrontation, constantly entangled and unravelling. I went to see Laurie and Jan rehearse a series of solos and duets, and it actually made me quite emotional. It was my first time seeing my music translated into dance, and I was struck by Laurie’s ability to accentuate the song’s emotional arc through her choreography style (threading). This was the first solo she showed me. I am immensely proud to have gotten to work with such a talented team on this video.
