Looking for fun on a budget? Merri-bek Libraries can help with that. All you need is a library card (and to remember your password - but we can help with that if you've forgotten it).
🍿It's time to break up with the streaming services. Instead, log into @beamafilm or @kanopy with your library card details to watch tv shows and movies for free.
🎮Getting friends together for a games night? Don't buy the latest video game or board game - borrow it instead. Games aren't your thing? Take a look at our selection of jigsaw puzzles instead.
🌲Keen on learning more about the world around you? Check out our Citizen Science Kits on our library catalogue - they're fun for young and old. And if 2026 is the year you get serious about growing plants, grab some seed packets from the Glenroy Seed Library. Grow your plants, harvest the seeds and donate them back to the Seed Library to continue the cycle.
🗣Learn a language. With your library card, you get free access to Mango Languages, where you can choose from over 70 languages to learn. Time to impress friends and family with your new skills.
📚Read to your kids in a different language with the LOTE4Kids app. They have stories in over 100 languages, keeping your little ones entertained while they practice their language skills.
Did we mention all of this is free? Head to the Merri-bek Libraries website to become a member and learn more about everything we offer (besides books!).
