here’s my 2026 “to do” list 😁
1. Early last year I bought a “ocean odyssey” adult colouring book, and honestly I didn’t expect I would get so invested into colouring and doodling, I got so invested I saved up and bought myself a new iPad Air m3 for my birthday to fuel my growing creative arc, plus my lovely partner got me a sketching journal and supplies for Christmas, I really hope to drastically improved my skills with digital and paper art using tutorials and guides.
2. It’s crazy to think imo, I’ve been a merman for what will be my 4th year and I’m still just on my basic
@paditv mermaid certificate, I have been considering progressing to acquire my advanced for some time, but never got around to it, but no more, I’m going to make it HAPPEN! I hope to organise something sometime in the year when I’m free from other goals with
@themermaidconnection to do that, and maybe perhaps get my freediving and scuba cert too… anything is possible 😁
3. 2025 was mostly a year where I put my head down and work my absolute butt off, but as a result I didn’t really achieve anything I wanted to achieve, exploring and traveling was the most noticeable, I’m so thankful I got the chance to go to Sydney in 2024, and I would love to make that happen again, and catch up with my merfriends down there again and and go in time for join a organised mermeet, plus international travel would be a fantastic bonus, I’m hoping to finally to something off my bucket list and go explore Japan 🇯🇵and not just the usual tourist hotspots of Tokyo, Osaka but hopefully much more than that, and obviously Okinawa too 🤩
4. As much as I love being a professional merman and I wouldn’t give it up anytime, but I’m considering doing a bit more “land based” cosplay, and try in try and incorporate and merfolk or at least ocean theme to it 🌊🏴☠️
5. I haven’t really talk about it publicly but I have been studying Japanese for nearly 2 years, and I absolutely enjoy it, I’m fortunate to have a fantastic teacher who I grown to have a good friendship with, she has really helped me with achieving my goal
