Repost from @sinem_sakaoglu ❤️ How do you mold paper into a smooth and stable shape that doesn't lose its surface properties, papery-looking quality (so no papier mache)❓That was what we were faced with when we needed paper facial replacements (and hands) but didn't want to see any folds. . It took a few weeks of testing with different kinds of paper and pulps and pigments, and the jury was out till the very end if we were going to get smooth enough stucture out of the molds...but this awesome team did it in the end 💜🎯 . Here is a short video showing from modeling, mold making, to pulp to animation test. What do you think? .
