From Dated to Modern 🔨✨ Every great transformation needs a starting point, and the “before” photos show exactly what we were up against. Our latest 3-bed apartment renovation in the heart of London required a complete reimagining of the space. We teamed up with the incredibly talented @pollybydesign to strip away the dated fixtures and bring a cohesive, elevated vision to life. The basic white tiles and old laminate kitchen were replaced with sleek, light-filled cabinetry, gorgeous sage-toned splashbacks, and premium finishes. We traded the tired bathrooms for bold, deep navy tiling and luxury walk-in showers that make an absolute statement. It’s a masterclass in how thoughtful layout changes and a sophisticated color palette can completely maximize city living. The perfect foundation doesn’t just sit there—it makes everything else pop. ✨ We recently finished this bathroom floor using microcement in the shade Silverado, and the results speak for themselves. The cool, seamless texture of the microcement creates a beautiful contrast against those vibrant blue tiles. The best part? We just handed over this stunning 4-bedroom family home transformation in the heart of Dulwich. From top to bottom we rebuilt it better: full roof repairs, rewire, microcement in showers, new fuse board, switches & sockets throughout. Bathrooms were refitted with contemporary finishes. Walls inside and out were prepped and redecorated for a fresh, timeless look. Original wooden floors were sanded and sealed to bring back their natural warmth. Bespoke shelving was designed and fitted in living areas. The entire house now feels light, modern and built to last. We began by meticulously leveling a 30 square meter area to create a perfectly flat foundation for the flooring project.
Next, we installed high-quality insulation boards across the surface to enhance energy efficiency and provide a thermal barrier.
Following that, we carefully laid out the underfloor heating system, ensuring even distribution for optimal warmth in the bathroom, hallway, and kitchen.
To secure everything in place, we applied a self-leveling compound that smoothed out any minor imperfections and created a stable base.
With the prep work complete, we transitioned to applying the microcement in multiple thin layers for a seamless application.
Each layer was sanded and polished between coats to achieve a flawless, uniform texture.
The microcement not only unified the spaces with its continuous, joint-free design but also added a modern, industrial aesthetic.
