I heard somewhere that in Hawaiian you don’t call yourself your pets owner you are their Kahu. Kahu has many meanings, among them guardian, protector, steward, beloved attendant… basically someone entrusted with the safe keeping of something precious, something cherished. What a Kahu protects is not their property. What they protect, is a part of their soul.

Bringing Wheeler home with me 4 years ago was THE best decision I’ve ever made. Its ridiculous how much I love him. What’s even cooler is seeing how much he’s loved by the people around us - friends and strangers alike.
