This concept explores what it means to be kept, shaped, hidden and protected and to reclaim yourself, refusing to be moulded by expectation.
Some parts of ourselves get softened, edited, or hidden to fit expectation. Whatâs seen is only a fragment, the rest exists quietly. The unseen parts carry our depth, our complexity, and our truth. They are not meant to be smaller, quieter, or tamed for anyone else. They exist fully, just as they are.

âSlipping Awayâ drifts into the space where the body sinks and the mind reaches out.Fatigue becomes a quiet landscape, a place between surrender and resistance.

Turkic Hair Traditions â KÄąrk Belik (Forty Braids)
From the Hun era (4th c. BCE) to the GĂśktĂźrks (6thâ8th c.), and later the Seljuk and Ottoman periods, KÄąrk Belik has lived on for centuries among Cappadocian and Alevi Turkmens.
Braiding hair into forty strands carried meaning; beauty, protection, and even the soulâs connection to the body. Braids were often decorated with beads, threads, or charms, sometimes to ward off the evil eye or simply to show beauty and tradition. As well as being a practical and traditional style for nomadic Turkic life.
Weeping willow
A visual meditation on mourning, rebirth, and the quiet strength that lives in reflection.
Nature holds our grief, softens it, and teaches us to endure. In stillness, we find solace. In roots, we remember who we are.

âMisplacedâ
This project was shot over two years ago, during a time I felt like life was moving without me. Misplaced explores that stillness, feeling stuck, yet quietly shifting inside.
Since graduating, Iâve dealt with creative burnout, self-doubt, and the pressure to keep pushing out new work. But styles evolve, life happens, and creativity is always there, an outlet, a way through. We shouldnât hold back from sharing our work, no matter how old it is or how much we still connect with it.
I loved working on this, from the energy on set to the amazing team behind it. Itâs a reminder of why I started and how far Iâve come!
Thank you to the team and designers đ¤
