I grew up rarely seeing gay men represented in comedy in a way that felt real, nuanced or familiar.
Even now, every time I walk onto a stage, there’s still that little voice in my head that says:“They won’t like you because you’re gay.”
It’s usually wrong. But not always.
(To be fair, sometimes they might just think I’m shit.)
Which is why every time I get to walk onto a comedy stage as an openly gay man and talk honestly about my life and identity without feeling the need to shrink any part of myself…it still feels so special.

What a night. My first gig this close to home was very special. The room was so warm, friendly and just full of lovely people. Thank you to everyone who came out, whether I knew you or not.
Tried out new material, took a few risks, and it’s really starting to feel like the new show is coming together 💪🏻.
Lovely wee reminder of why I love doing this. Very grateful tonight.
