@dogmabrighton @sinnaone and @caxton_arms are delighted to present a new mural ‘Our Guy Welbz’. Adorning the front of the Caxton, an Albion-stalwart pub who do wonders to bring the club into the heart of the city centre, ‘Our Guy Welbz’ is a testament to what Danny means to us and what he’s brought to #bhafc . Welbeck arrived in a typically understated fashion and despite a muted reaction to his arrival he was exactly who and what we needed, and still is. He has now become a club legend and our highest goal scorer in the Premier League era. He’s the main man, the focal point and the fulcrum from which all our sumptuous and explosive attacking play hangs off. He’s got it all, great in the air, good with his feet, attacking the back line, coming short. But the biggest role he plays is tying together a front line that is often young, often new to the country, capable of magic but sometimes lacking cohesion. He’s scored his most goals and made his most appearances for the Albion - over and above whatever he achieved with other clubs before. He’s now our guy no longer only associated with those other clubs the media still obsessively relate him to. ‘Our Guy Welbz’ was painted by the brilliant Brighton-based Sinna One. The mural can be found at 36 North Gardens, just down from Brighton station at the Caxton Arms. Brett Mendoza, landlord of the pub said: “Danny Welbeck is no longer the most underappreciated player in our great squad. Dat Guy deserves a tribute, and what better way than on the front of the pub so well known to so many Brighton fans!”.
