Whitelee moments.
Standing beneath one of the massive Siemens turbines at Whitelee Windfarm really puts the scale of renewable energy into perspective.
Located just 20 minutes from Glasgow, Whitelee is officially the largest wind farm in Scotland, the UK, and Europe. Built on Eaglesham Moor and opened in 2009, the site now has 215 turbines generating up to 539MW of electricity, enough to power more than 350,000 homes every year.
What surprised me most was learning how the turbine blades work almost like aircraft wings. Their aerofoil shape creates lift using Bernoulliâs principle, allowing the rotors to spin and generate electricity through electromagnetic induction. Even more impressive, the blade tips can reach speeds of over 150mph.
But Whitelee is more than just engineering. The site also has over 130km of walking, cycling, and horse-riding trails, wildlife spotting areas, a visitor centre run with Glasgow Science Centre, electric bus tours, cafĂŠs, and panoramic views across the Scottish countryside.
A brilliant example of how green technology and public outdoor space can work together.
If you visit, respect the wildlife, keep dogs on leads around sheep and ground-nesting birds, and leave the trails clean for everyone.

I used to think traveling light was easy⌠until airline luggage rules started stressing me out.
From carrying a heavy handbag through the airport to finally finding a cabin box that actually fits, this one felt like a small win for me. If youâve ever dragged a bag, paid extra at the gate, or felt your shoulders crying at the airport⌠youâll understand why you need this cabin travel case.

Todayâs been a busy day, but one of the better moments is being able to pause and enjoy this. I like a flexible lifestyle, something that lets me move through the day without overthinking things. I popped into a shop for some milk, and earlier, as I was heading out, these were already waiting for me in my box. It all just works easily.
Iâve been trying the High Protein Cereal Hoops from @ufitdrinks and they suit me down to the ground. Theyâre simple, quick, and actually satisfying, which isnât always the case with cereals. You get 15g of protein in a bowl, which makes it feel a bit more purposeful than your usual breakfast. The chocolate flavour is rich without being too much, and it holds up well with milk, so youâre not left with something soggy halfway through. Itâs the sort of thing that works whether youâre rushing out or taking a slower start.
Yesterday I had the granola, and I love it. Properly toasted, with a good crunch that doesnât disappear, and just enough sweetness to make it enjoyable without overdoing it. The oats taste wholesome, and whether you go for the honey or chocolate version, it feels like something you can rely on day to day. Itâs one of those small additions that makes a difference to your routine.
Both options are high in protein, made with added vitamins like B12 and D, and designed to be easy without cutting corners on taste. They do include gluten, so theyâre not for everyone, but if thatâs not an issue, theyâre a solid choice.
Sometimes itâs just about having something ready when you need it, without thinking too much. This is one of those things.

Just a wee wander round Drumplier and honestly⌠needed that
There is something about this place, the water, the quiet, the way it just slows everything down a bit. nothing fancy, just fresh air and a clear head
Couple things I love about it:
⢠The loch is always so calm, even when everything else feels busy
⢠It used to be part of an old estate, so thereâs a bit of history to it
⢠Loads of easy paths, good for a proper walk or just a slow wander
⢠Youâll usually spot birds (and the odd swan acting like it owns the place)
⢠Itâs close by but somehow still feels like youâve got away for a bit from the busy city.
Definitely one of my go-to spots when I just need a break. #drumpliercountrypark

Will AI take peopleâs jobs? Yes, it already has. Iâve seen it change delivery work, e-commerce platforms like eBay and Amazon, and many other industries. And yes, companies will always look for ways to cut costs.
But can AI take all jobs? No. Some roles still rely on human judgment, creativity, empathy, and real understanding.
Reading this book opened my eyes. If AI continues at this pace, many people could face a future with no stable work, no steady income, and growing uncertainty around basic needs like food and security.
What I appreciate is that this book doesnât just focus on job loss, it focuses on adaptation.
A key idea is that companies are no longer just âorg chartsâ; they are becoming âwork charts.â Work is shifting from job titles to skills.
The solution is clear:
build a skills-based identity, keep learning, work with AI, stay visible, and be open to change.
In the age of AI, stability will not come from staying in one place, but from staying ready to evolve.
Thatâs what stayed with me most.
What are your thoughts on AI and the future of work?

I didnât pick up The Other Bennet Sister thinking it would do anything to me. Mary Bennet? Sheâs the one you forget. The quiet sister. The awkward one. The one no oneâs really checking for and I am sure many people can relate to this.
This book is uncomfortable in parts, because itâs honest. Mary is trying to be seen in a world that already decided sheâs not âit.â Not pretty enough, not charming enough, not interesting enough but instead of fixing her or giving her some sudden glow-up, the story just lets her be⌠and grow from that place.
In todayâs world, if youâre not loud, confident, constantly showing up online, it can feel like youâre invisible. Like youâre doing something wrong just by being yourself. Mary carries that same energy, just in a different time.
Thereâs no rush in this story. No dramatic moment where everything flips. Itâs slow, a bit awkward, very internal. You either get it or you donât.
The BBC-style adaptation? It matches that tone. Proper period drama feel. Nothing forced, nothing overdone. Just detail, quiet tension, and letting the character breathe. I actually respect that they didnât try to make it something itâs not.
This isnât a âwowâ book in the usual sense.
Itâs more like⌠it quietly calls you out.
