@mellowfest_ , an annual music festival that platforms underground artists, and we went to see what it’s about, so we checked it out, took it in, and met the community it brings together.
Behind the festival is
@mellowcouch , a record label founded in 2020 by
@manzifleur ,
@sema_sole , and producer
@nshuti.reddy , with
@mwiza.rw joining in 2022 to expand the collective’s sound and catalogue. The festival grew out of smaller shows they organised, evolving in 2023 into a recurring platform for underground Rwandan artists.
The 2026 edition brought together
@herartiistry ,
@et.rw ,
@jeroismusic ,
@kidfromkigali ,
@manzifleur ,
@mwiza.rw ,
@99_gang_ ,
@paintedblvck ,
