"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery None but ourselves can free our minds" - Bob Marley
Finally went to see the @bobmarley@onelovemovie . When I see and hear all the reviews from our people about our people, I can't help to think... when will we be enough? I was so happy to see something I can relate to on the big screen and loved every second of it. There's so many ways that Bob's story could've been told... I'm just happy to see that it is told. The movie title alone should remind us of all that Rita and Bob have fought for. Blessed love to each and every one. Walk good and stay positive.
"Got to survive

In iration
They say roots Natty roots
Dread Binghi dread
I and I are the roots"
- Bob Marley

Thank you to @fkbmedia for booking @mello.one and I for
our first interview together as life and business partners @thisislawadeinc and @trfmedia had a fabulous story by the talented @andria.case.parkinson for @ctvtoronto talking about our very first production as a couple, a SMALL Book.
We’re a talented, passionate duo with skill sets that perfectly complement each other and this project is proof.
📢 Important update:
Regrettably, @topanafrikanff Film & Media Brunch is cancelled due to the Air Canada strike. The panel discussions will be postponed until we can choose a new date and time. Stay tuned for more culturally relevant programming from the Toronto Pan Afrikan Film Festival — we’re just getting started.
Shout out to @f.a.b.boutique_ for outfitting me for all my looks during the festival. 😘

Happy birthday to my Princess ❤️👑❤️
I remember how tiny you were when you first arrived in this world, now you're having conversations with me about your friends at school, reading lots of books and showcasing all your talents. You make me so proud and I'm looking forward to witnessing another year of growth. Another year of fun and adventure! I love you so much Princess. Have an amazing day!

I hope you don't mind but this message is for you @thisislawadeinc
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳 (Followed by all the Jamaican party sounds and ad--libs I tend to make lol)
I'm so happy and proud of you. People don't have any clue how much you pour into them and the things you take on, especially when you have so much weight on your shoulders. Regardless you still show up at your best to be there when others need you. Even in your greatest time of need you still manage to climb up above it all.
Today, being your birthday, I'd like to give you your flowers for all the hard work and dedication you've put in, not only to others and the community, but into yourself. To rise above all the challenges that have been placed on you and even the challenges you've given yourself. You've taken the time to work on yourself so that you can continue to be there for others. Aside from all the dis-eases, stresses and bad mindedness, there is love. Love and joy is the greatest part of you. Continued to feed your creativity and your soul. Nuff love, blessings, good health and protection always.
Big up yuhself and celebrate!!!! 🎶🎶🎶Happy birthday yah mi fren!!!! 🎶🎶🎶 Cheers🥂

Happy Belated Birthday to my beautiful niece 👑🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️
Volume up 🔊 both my Princesses singing ❤️👑👑❤️
I am beyond proud to watch you grow into the beautiful, talented young Princess that you are. It feels like just yesterday you were a little girl, and now here you are at 10 years old, already making your mark as an incredible artist. Seeing you follow in my footsteps fills my heart with so much joy and pride. Your creativity and passion are shining so brightly, and I can’t wait to see how far you’ll go!
As you step into this new chapter, always remember a few things:
1. Stay Curious: Never stop exploring the world through your art. Your imagination is your greatest tool.
2. Embrace Mistakes: Every mistake is just a stepping stone to getting better. It’s all part of the process.
3. Be Brave: Don’t be afraid to share your voice and your vision with the world. Your unique perspective is what makes you special. People may try to put a lid on your vision, so remember that your vision is bigger than those who try to restrict you.
4. Keep Practicing: The more you create, the more you'll grow. Life is Art. Remember, we said, "God created..." Every drawing, every painting, every idea adds to your journey in life.
5. Have Fun: Above all, remember to have fun. Art is your playground, so enjoy every moment.
I'm here for you, always, cheering you on as your biggest fan. Keep being the amazing artist and wonderful person you are. I love you more than words can say. Keep shining, Princess! 💖
With love,
Uncle

My dear Louis March, thank you for setting a great example in my life and in this community (GTA). Thank you for your presence and your wisdom that you've continued to share with me during the course of my life. I heard you when you looked at me last week during my visits to see you in the hospital, your voice was loud. It feels like it's ringing in my ears. Thank you for creating @zerogunviolence.movement and being a major figure in our community, including @ironsharpensirontoronto alongside our brothers @troycrossfield@joelwitton@ourgteam@spreadloveclothing@titasoul@emmkab , to name a few. The impact that you've made is so important and I hope that we, our community, can pick up where you passed the torch to continue the journey.
@louismarch.to I love you and miss you. Into the next life Papa Louis March. Rest family 👑❤️
Please keep Louis' family in your heart and prayers.
Photo: This was the day we watched the @raptors win. Louis got us, @ironsharpensirontoronto brothers, tickets to see them play. It was a great day to be together and enjoy the sport we love. Thank you Louis and @raptors

Pray for Louis March 🙏🏾
@louismarch.to@zerogunviolence.movement
He's currently fighting for his life. During my last visit with him this week, he looked deep into my eyes for a length of time and seemed to want to move his mouth in order to tell me something, however his mouth wouldn't obey his command. After hearing my voice and hearing a voice recording of his school friend Julion @canadianreggaeworld , a tear ran down his eye. My mother also went to school with him and he has known me since I was a baby. Before I left his room, I asked him to collect his energy for the day he gets out of that bed to walk out of the hospital.
If you don't know who he is, here's a little about Louis March...
Louis March, the founder of the Zero Gun Violence Movement, founded in June 2013, has been a volunteer community worker and advocate in the African Canadian community for over 30 years. His work has primarily focused on youth engagement and mentorship initiatives along with serving on Various community organization Boards and Advisory Committees. Most recently the Zero Gun Violence Movement has collaborated with over 40 different community organizations, agencies and programs across the City, committed to addressing structural and sociO-economic Conditions that contribute to the gun violence problem. The ZGVM is an awareness and advocacy movement that works across the City to engage people and organizations that are truly committed to being a part of the solution to reducing gun violence and also building safe and healthy communities, not for Some, but for all.
The above is a quick summary of the just some of the things Louis March has done so far and has continued to do.
We all must do our part to continue his legacy and the legacy of the advocates and community leaders before us.
If you're able, take a knee and/or put your hands together for this wonderful man that we all care for.
I remixed art work by: @mstoddart68 🙏🏾 I love your work King
