hellooo I’m very fortunate to be getting top surgery in just over 2 weeks and want to say a huge thank you to my wonderful artists / makers / practitioners for donating their craft and skills to a dreamy raffle that will help fund my time off spent recovering! thank you also to everyone who chooses to enter. it is a bizarre thing to publicly ask for help amidst so much suffering, but I think asking for help is a muscle worth strengthening. I hope that me asking for help can also bring visibility to some of my favorite people and their passions — check em out ! as my friend reminded me there is no cap on generosity and I really appreciate yours in sharing this raffle and entering. :•}

as some of u may know i bought my first home last august. i instantly fell in love with its vintage features, including the hardwood floors. unfortunately, they were under gross vinyl. i didn’t have any prior experience to refinishing hardwood floors, let alone completely restoring them.
i learned a lot in this process, and it felt like every step of the way i was met with some obstacle. these floors were in really rough shape. there was no way i could afford to have them done professionally. although, there was not a doubt in my mind i was gonna make it happen.
after reading forums, watching tutorials, and help from my dear friends and family, i was able to make it happen. my dad drove hours on several weekends to help. i had friends come over & let me order them around, let me crash, & fed me. i feel so loved & grateful. every time i look at these floors i’ll feel pride & the love from my friends and family.
they aren’t perfect but they’re mine! Here are some start-to-finish pics :-)
