[Friday Zine Event – Guest Feature #3]
Meet our final guest — Melanie Yan (Lixiyue Yan)! @melatonien
Melanie (she/they) is an illustrator and zine-maker whose work explores hypnagogic memories, surreal adventures, and ephemeral moments through an Asian-diasporic queer feminist lens. Their zines and illustrations have been recognized by respected institutions and organizations across North America. Currently, Melanie travels between lands, gathering creative inspiration.
At this event, Melanie will share stories behind her illustration zines and hand-crafted zines. As an emerging artist with extensive experience in publishing and tabling, she’ll also offer practical advice on how to navigate the post-art school world — including events and platforms where you can share your work.
