Thank you @comicbookresources for letting me share the most important message I put in everything I write. The message that is the whole reason I write.
You are loved. You belong. And I'm so glad you exist.
✨ Birthday 2026 ✨
So grateful for the year and the friends and the places. Today was full of learning about amazing women that fought for change, walking along the Thames with swans, and a trip to my favorite London pub - @the_dog_and_bell
You’re not meant to do this alone ❤️The best stories come from collaboration, feedback, and community — not isolation

This is what storytelling is really about ❤️ DC Comics & Supernatural writer Meghan Fitzmartin explains why every story she tells comes from emotion and making people feel seen

@megfitz89 interview was so much fun. We talked about Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen Part One. She talks about how Justice League Unlimited season 1 episode 3 Kids’ Stuff inspired what she wrote for Justice League x RWBY. We geeked out on how much we love Justice League Unlimited. @henrygilroy2047 wrote such a great episode. Dwayne McDuffie wrote great stories.
✨WONDERCON 2026 ✨
The convention train keeps on rolling this coming weekend! If you’re in Anaheim come hang out, say hi, and (potentially) grab the first 5 issues of Mary Sue’s arc (while supplies last, because I keep running out)!
💗 MARY SUE ISSUE 5 🧛🏻♀️
And with that, we’ve finished the first arc of MARY SUE (complete with pining and a cliffhanger!) I’m so proud of this fandom love letter, of the Mary Sues in all of us, of fandom as a whole - fandom is one of the most amazing, beautiful human experiences. We deserve to have stories about us.
Getting to work on this with some of the greats has been a career dream. @lisasterle absolutely kills this issue, playing with the Mary Sue World and the Digital Sea. @angienessyo and @dearbhlala bring out the colors in full force for the play between real world, Mary Sue World, and Fandom Zine, @longtalljodie continues to slay every lettering challenge I gave her and @peachchild311 heralded the ship.
I’m so proud of this book and I am proud to be in fandom.
🎨 Chasing Inspiration 🎼
I’ve spent the last six weeks exploring the homes and works of different artists, musicians and writers, in the midst of my own writing work.
I cannot overstate the impact this has had on me, how often I cried. Not just because art is inspirational, not just for all the voices we don’t have because of access and lack of funding, but because no matter the adversity, art in every form creates community that brings people together.
1 & 2 - Letter writing in the attic where Dr Johnson constructed one of the most enduring English dictionaries.
3. Handel’s composing room, where Messiah was composed. Life goal is to have a frame like that.
4 & 5. Next door to Handel, and about 200 years later, Jimi Hendrix rented a flat. His bedroom and record collection here have been recreated.
6. The Handel and Hendrix Museum, immigrants to London that changed the world of music.
7, 8, 9. The Banqueting House of Whitehall Palace, a massive palace that has since burned. The only remaining room is this glorious Banqueting Hall containing Ruben’s great commission for James I (the size of a tennis court.)
10. Ruben’s home in Antwerp, Belgium, recreating Italian frontage.
11 & 12. A Rembrandt in the Leiden museum, and the spot where Rembrandt’s house once stood in Leiden, with a statue of a child looking at his picture.
13, 14, 15. Some pictures that moved me at the Magritte museum in Brussels, including an illustration of Magritte’s understanding of absurdism.
