Today @mega2e and I sat down for a post-publication lunch with Manny Fernandez and @sarah_hurtes , who worked for years to tell the story of how Chavez victimized women. Such painful accounts, such brave sources, so many questions about how to regard the Chavez legacy. But I want to note: nine years after Megan and I began investigating Weinstein, even amid great backlash, women are still coming forward.

With wonderful editing by @virginiahughes and @lanieshapiro , we tell the story of how the lifting of their travel bans was the culmination of a years long effort by Andrew Tate’s to court powerful figures on the American right.
