Let’s talk intros🎶 The first few seconds of a song tell you everything. Before I ever take my first real step, I’m listening. Is it smooth or punchy? Laid back or driving? Sparse or layered? Even if I don’t know the song, I’m asking my body to reflect what I hear. If the intro is slow and textured, I let my movement breathe. If it’s sharp and rhythmic, I hit those accents with intention. If there’s a specific instrument leading, I choose to highlight that. You don’t need to “do more” in the intro. You need to do what the music is asking for. Train yourself to pause. Listen first.
