I started this Libra season presenting Souvenir #6 at the Open Studio of @halostudiolab from my dear @luzpeuscovich , together with some big tarot card posters on @ailaviu amazing holographic curtains, and a little reading corner with a playlist on an iPod and all the pillows I could gather from my home and friends’ houses. Shown alongside works by @ntlhosie @yu__________go @__nareswari__ @maraxrina @jeremycarne @karenbyk @ruddydunc . Thanks to @andrearodriguezger and @darkanieves for the support mounting it all, and to @mora.destroya for cutting and planning before. Thanks to @marcosmangani for the rug. Presenting our residents 2023 - @mediumcool_ Sofía Mattarollo is a thirty something year old medium cool teenager from Argentina who enjoys drawing nudes and sometimes writes little poems. Lesbian drama, shibari, little animals and internet stuff are included in her work as well. She lives in Berlin since a while and her zine is named "Souvenir" where she do story telliing as a way to sublimate the intensities of real life experiences. During her stay with us we worked with the star Zosma, present repeatedly in her. Zosma is the star on the back of the Lion, where the powerfull lion becomes a kitten. This star reminds us that even the roughest beasts have their vulnerable place. The fierce lion of the constellation Leo has this star that shows us the backstage of brilliance, pride and strength. Zosma brings a bittersweet sensitivity to perceive one's own and others' fragility. There is always the risk of getting trapped in her narratives, but also the possibility of helping others to get out.
