🪡 ILLATURAS in Berlin 🪡 ~ Stitching the Invisible
ANDEAN MINIATURES
A talk on the research + collective embroidery workshop
Join us for an afternoon to listen, reflect, share and embroider. Artist @solmarinucci from Argentina will present the journey of ILLATURAS, an itinerant project of artistic and community practices around the symbolic universe of miniatures.
💫 In the Andean world, illas are small figures considered to be the very incarnation of abundance: energized matter, desire made form.
🪡 From this root, ILLATURAS proposes a sensitive exploration of the small as intimate gesture, promise and amulet.
After the talk, there will be a collective embroidery workshop conceived as a reflective practice. Participants will be invited to explore their own desires and translate them into an embroidered miniature. No prior experience is required; stitches are introduced as symbolic tools of expression.

We are delighted to invite you to Jignesh Panchal’s @artjignesh solo exhibition, the first one at the studio, marking the beginning of a cycle of shared dialogues and discoveries with artists from across the globe. This time from Ahmedabad, India.
In the Monsoon is an invitation to pause within the intimate, in those fleeting moments that become everyday paradises. From Ahmedabad, India, the artist unfolds a practice rooted in painting but expanded through collage as a territory of encounter, where fragments of diverse worlds overlap and converse. Panchal collects objects, papers, and textures with the patience of a traveler who recognizes in each find a latent memory.
The exhibition draws a sensitive map between East and West, a space where cultural differences are not boundaries but currents that intertwine like monsoon rains. In his compositions, each fragment carries the spirit of its place of origin: pigments that recall the warmth of a market, fabrics that condense the humidity of a journey, photographs resonating with the nostalgia of transit.
The monsoon appears as a vital metaphor: a season of abundance and transformation, but also of pause and contemplation. Panchal proposes an exercise in observing and savoring the small, the unnoticed. In this gesture, art becomes both refuge and bridge, opening windows toward a shared geography of minimal yet universal pleasures.
SAVE THE DATE: SEPTEMBER 12th: opening event and talk with the artist
The exhibition can be visited from September 10th to the 15th

It’s hard to believe we’re already in the final week of August. To keep the summer spirit alive a little longer, we want to share this memory, a visit from the sweetest students from @hkumafa a couple of weeks ago. Accompanied by their amazing teacher, Falke Pisano, they came to the studio to talk about the work we do here but of course many other things like the symbols, the sky and the stars, the minerals realm, the art scene in Berlin, migration in Europe, and the search for peace and answers in these complex times.
Thank you for coming and bringing your fresh curiosity 🤍
During September two exciting events will take place at the studio. Soon more details ✨

A space for those seeking a challenging context of exchange with others and who are ready to expose and deepen their work.
In each meeting, an artist from the group will present their work, and we will analyze it together in a safe and nurturing environment.
