Deborah de Luca, born in Scampia and wired for motion, treats every DJ set like immersive architecture-layering sound with precision, intuition, and light. Deborah “draws tempo across faces like lines of elevation,” building until the crowd breathes as one structure of rhythm and glow.
For Deborah, techno is a powerful equalizer: “In a techno club, it doesn’t matter if you’re white, Black, gray, yellow, Christian, Jewish, atheist-inside, we’re all of the same religion: techno.”
Beyond the decks, silence becomes her sanctuary. “I live constantly with music... so l need silence, I look for it, it regenerates me.” From charged nights on stage to quiet car rides, she embraces both extremes with intention. Her creative hunger keeps evolving.
Since launching her label
@solamenteofc in 2013, she’s remained insatiable: “I’m always hungry, and that will never pass... hunger will never leave me.”And when the lights rise, she’s her own toughest critic. “The first 15 minutes after a set I spend thinking I haven’t done my very best... Even when everyone says it was great, I criticize myself. Then I can’t wait to go home to my dogs.”
