There comes a time in every young girl’s life where she must take off her armor, and go to a little website called, Substack.com. She must then click two horrifying words, “sign up,” and then, against all odds, she must create a newsletter. Well friends, today is that day for me!!!
Please subscribe to my Substack, Sometimes I Just Say Things, for a literary glimpse into my kooky little mind (and my even kooky-ier mind 13 years ago - swipe ❤️)!
Link, as they say, is in my bio.

Usually posting photos of the finished product, but so excited about this collab that I have to share some moments from the very, very beginning. Making a musical from scratch!
At the end of 2023, I accepted a full-time job at NYU to work in education management. The WGA strike broke my spirit and my faith that I’d ever work in comedy again. I was prepared to leave this career behind, grateful for the work I’d had, and pivot.
And then, as if a sign from ~The Universe~, I got an interview for After Midnight and ultimately got the job. It honestly changed my life.
After Midnight gave me so much — an opportunity to work with and befriend some of the best/ funniest/ kindest/ most genuine/ most talented people I’ve ever known; an outlet to be my truest, silliest self around a group of people who embraced me and loved me for it; and a reinvigorated spirit.
I’m still a comedy writer today because of After Midnight, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
It’s been a wild ride, and I loved every second of it. Thanks to everyone who made my life so bright over the past 1.5 years.
What a gift.
(Swipe to the end to see who’s coming for Diplo’s job!)
Thank you @eaecccc and @khill218 for having the most beautiful Italian wedding, and thereby giving me an excuse to buy new clothes!
(Yeahhhh I just used the word “thereby” 💅🏾)
