Manchester Neighbourhood Sports Fund 2026-27 is now open! 🙌
Manchester Sport Clubs and Community Organisations can apply for grants from £500-£3000.
The fund is designed to support Manchester residents to move more, with our priority themes being:
- Low or no-cost activities
- Women’s and girls’ participation
- Activities for 0–5-year-olds
- Walk, Run, Cycle initiatives
- Retention and growth of participation

AO Manchester Thunder return to court on 30 May for another huge Netball Super League fixture, with the team continuing their push towards the business end of the season. This time it's Thunder Vs Lightning as the home team takes on Loughborough Lightning.

Join a community walk designed to bring people together in a safe, welcoming and inclusive space.
Led by Community Thriving Together CIC, this walk supports women, families and community members who may face barriers to being active or socially connected. This includes those experiencing isolation, caring responsibilities, language barriers or a lack of accessible opportunities.
This is not about fitness or performance. It is about connection, confidence and wellbeing. A chance to move at your own pace, meet others, share experiences and feel part of a supportive community.
The walk takes place in a familiar and accessible area of Manchester, using local streets and green spaces to create a comfortable environment for everyone to take part. No experience or equipment is needed.
This walk is part of the Greater Manchester Walking Festival and reflects this year’s theme of celebrating connected communities, showing how walking can reduce isolation and strengthen local connections.

Taking place throughout May as part of National Walking Month, the festival is a celebration of walking and wheeling and the role it plays in everyday life across our communities.
