This quarter’s edition of The Table, we’re bringing together
@michaelcufua and
@mcntmcnt to explore the notion of food circularity - bringing an artist we love to join the conversation with a chef, riffing off each other as the background for an evening where we all dine together at one long table, conversations and connections flowing as freely as feasting and libations.
On the walls, works carry natural pigments that quietly highlight material traces, where food becomes memory, residue, and presence on paper. Food begins as something we consume, but doesn’t disappear - it transforms.
In the kitchen, Chef Mathieu Canet (formerly of Le Dauphin, Paris) presents a menu of circularity - not only giving ingredients a second life, but also using food to evoke flavor memories and foster connection, true to the artist-run roots of
@ffffooooooood (NYC) which he runs.
