HIP HOP IS ERFGOED: The (R)Evolution of Hip Hop We zijn terug met een heavy line-up voor een nieuwe editie van Hip Hop is Erfgoed. Op 20 maart gaan we in gesprek over de evolutie van hiphop, de culturele impact en de genderdynamieken binnen de scene en industrie. Deze avond brengt een krachtige mix van stemmen uit verschillende generaties en disciplines: 🎤 Ella John – Rafting Goods 🎤 MC Melodee – Nederlandse rap-pionier 🎤 Nedda Sou – multidisciplinair maker en cultureel entrepreneur 🎤 Elizabeth Falade – popmuziekonderzoeker 🎨 Mick La Rock – graffiti-legende uit Groningen Onder leiding van hiphop-feminist Kim Dankoor gaan zij samen in gesprek over hoe hiphop zich heeft ontwikkeld, welke veranderingen we zien in de cultuur en industrie, en welke rol gender daarin speelt. Team work makes the dream work ❤️‍🔥 “Together with guest curator’s @instafuego @skychieftheruggeds and @cazone1986 we’ve made the exhibition ‘EINDHOVEN - A HIPHOP STORY’. During a sold out Art Night 800 visitors came through and 1,5 year of working together with the local scene came to a conclusion. Through the work of all the participating artists, shine the strong values that our Hip Hop culture embodies.” Last friday we had an epic opening of the expo, what a night it was..! So much positive feedback, good laughs and re-encounters.. it’s still making me smile 💛 I’d like to thank all artists, grootmeesters, friends and family who came through and supported. Special shoutout the @vanabbemuseum and @vivianvasilda for making this all possible. Let this be the beginning of the documentation of the Hiphop story of Eindhoven (my city of origin). Can’t wait to see where this is going and where next generations will lead us… Because “Hip-Hop could be about turntable skillz, rapping, graffiti-art or breaking, but it’s always about people making it happen.” ✊🏽💫
