The final point on the North Wales Pilgrims Way and feels like place between worlds with 360• ocean views. No electricity, wifi, phone signal, hot water, roads, heating or flushing toilets.
Just seals, sheep and mum.
Last year I got to do some big big making, now I’ve got the bug for working AT SCALE!
My dance training and creative producing came together for a year of mass-participation, outdoor shows in deep winter, community casts and properly epic production values. Huge teams and big moving parts. I love the maths of it, the patterns, the logistics.
Showbiz is… Glue-gunning colour-coded stars on tiny figures to evenly space 180 people. Planning a magic trick with teenagers and moving walls. Plotting 40 dancers’ routes across scaffolding in the snow. Diagrams for 11 exits in the round. Spreadsheets for colour groups, entrance orders and chaperone plots. Sight lines, smoke flares, slippy stages, quick changes.
I love being in the detail to make the big moments go smoothly and something clicked for me - choreography, producing and community engagement all at once.

Once in a lifetime stuff!
The island has been through a lot. Felt strange being on the beach reading about the civil which ended so relatively recently. We saw some of the effect of last year’s cyclone too. Tourism is complex and is a huge industry in Sri Lanka. We’re v lucky to have been. Thanks to our ace local guide who taught us so much.
Golden skies, sooooo many stars, ancient Buddhas, wild roads, mountains, tropical fruit, and the best dhal in the world.

JiaMing Lake Trek: bought a buff and a gilet and got above the clouds. We saw every sunrise and sunset for 3 days.

I met @nancy_nezzi when she was 19, working in Starbucks. She helped me with my Chinese homework and we caught busses to remote mountain villages at weekends. Now she’s 30, same same but we drive.

Our youth board built a programme including a UV day-rave, a rap-battle, a murder-mystery, kickboxing, gaming, pancakes, poems, drag and freestyle disco.
Over 100 artists under-25 created new work. Every one of them doing something for the first time and just coming in strong all ambitious, brave and kinda ridiculous. Bradford has incredible talent.
Honestly, the whole building was vibez! The acts and activities brought people from really different scenes across Bradford into this buzzy chaotic mix.
Made us think about what a dream youthy would be. More provision, more mentoring and more resourced spaces for young people to be creative and build community.

🤫BEHIND THE SCENES OF PUBLIC INTEREST🤫
The show took nearly two years to make and properly came to life when these incredible rappers and DJs got involved.
As Creative Producer and Movement Director, I’ve been deep in it with the cast for months. We’ve danced loads, cried a bit and rapped our heads around the brutal mess that is the Criminal Justice System.
The cast wrote and performed all their own bars, weaving in radical politics and personal stories of Joint Enterprise. Every single one of them is a diamond 💎
Digging into systemic injustice is pretty heavy. Thank god for Bassline and our well being worker. Not gonna lie - we had SO MUCH FUN!!! 🤸🤸🤸
