Our wonderful instructor, Tamara, will be taking a leave of absence starting in April and the soonest she'll be back is late 2026/early 2027. * I know many folks will be at the No Kings rally this Saturday, but if you're unable to participate in large, crowded events, Tamara's workshop is a great way to still be in community and help repair our broken world. MAYDEL IS GETTING AN UPGRADE!!! * After three years in our wonderful #Ravenswood location we’re moving to a larger and more accessible location at 3118 N Lincoln Ave (Lakeview/Roscoe Village). * Our new space has a dedicated area for classes (and just hanging out and stitching), an ADA-compliant restroom, more space for shopping and easier access to more parts of the city. Maydel hosted a special intro class, stitch circle and fundraiser with our newest teacher, Tamara, who helped guide through this traditional Palestinian form of cross-stitch. Tatreez motifs are often unique to specific geographic regions, and in this workshop we’ll focus on learning designs from Gaza, with all profits from the event being donated.
