Moon Mart's Fried Chicken
The @gourmettraveller Masterclass for our May issue.
It's probably the best fried chicken I've ever had. Our CEO, who was sitting next to us at the time I tested it, gave it 11/10 and constantly requested a retest.
For me, it's a nice stroll down memory lane. Circa 2014, I worked at Moon Park in Redfern with @eun.hee.an and @bensearsishere and it as a very popular menu item. Sometimes, if we were lucky, we had it for staff meal and that was a very good day.
I'm glad it's lived on at their current digs in Melbourne, @moon_mart_

From Tokyo to Fujikawaguchiko to Hakone and back to Tokyo. Absolutely unforgettable start of our trip - experiencing a traditional house, a Ryokan hotel, art and plenty of nature (above and below the ground) with family and we all survived...just! First morning in Tokyo and eating all the things for breakfast - toro (fatty tuna nigiri) , tamagoyaki (egg skewers) and wagyu kushiyaki. So much beautiful produce here too. Loving all the kitchenware shops - lots of tiny props have already been purchased!

Much was gathered from the farm and the park. Thanks to Dad for his lichen- covered planks of wood. Living moss was even bought from Amazon (they deliver moss next day if you ever need it!)

Super excited to see my Duck and Pineapple Salad with Daikon Noodles make the cover of @gourmettraveller Feb issue. I’ve been working in the food media industry for 7 years now, and over that time I’ve written hundreds of recipes for many publications, but this is the first to make the cover! Happy birthday to this gorgeous lady, our Mum! She was tough, she was fierce, she was a mentor, she was an entrepreneur! She was mum! We wish she was with us, to guide us, to give us the advice we need! To just be there and comfort us! You are truly missed; we’ll see you on the other side xx
