A lovely weekend ‘Following the Red River’ making images and responding to both an unbelievable body of work and special landscape. Making work on the Saturday, and then printing and curating an exhibition on Sunday.
A massive thank you to @jemsoutham for his time, as well as @toner.pz & @luckygoldteeth for hosting and organising the workshop. Thank also to @beaconartlab & @charlie_jay for the prints and being a legend over the course of the weekend!
Yeeew!

Flora Day, 8th May 2025.
The earliest written mention for Flora Day (Or Furry Day as it was know then) was 1790 in The Gentleman’s Magazine. They described it as ‘At Helstone, a genteel and populus borough town in Cornwall, it is customary to dedicate the 8th May to revelry (festive mirth, not loose jollity). It is called Furry Day’
