Opening tomorrow night — The Tower Block WIP — at @peckham24photo .
The London College of Communication tower block building was opened in 1964. Since then tens of thousands of students have studied there. Bunked off there. Smoked cigarettes, and hopefully learned something, there. In 2027 LCC moves to a new building. Across the road. On the site of the now demolished Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre. These are some of the last students who will use the iconic old building.

Developing and hand printing happens in the LCC darkrooms alongside the students — and I seek their advice, as I always do with my practice, at every turn.

‘a bowl of tears to drink’ is a long-form and cryptic document of Suzie’s repeated stays at a silent convent in South Wales, where she first went looking for answers to unknown questions. The book is offset printed and bound in Wales and hand finished in a sugar paper cover by Oval Press in London. 🪡
Pre-order sales are a huge help with production costs and allow these books to be made. Thank you to everyone who has already bought a copy we see you! 💗

#GreifAlumni: Our Community Manager and Programme Curator Francesca (@fransagle ) visited “Whiplash Memorial (WIP)” by Max Ferguson (@maxferguson ) at @the_koppel_project , following the recommendation of our former Guest Room editor Christiane Monarchi. A generous, resonant exhibition, commenting on growing up in North London, how we exist within cities, and what happens when plans for new urban growth fall short.
“Whiplash Memorial (WIP)” is extended until 23 January, and Max’s new book is now available via @ovalpress .
Join our community by applying to our current Guest Room open call, open until 25 January.

Whiplash Memorial (WIP)
This artist made book is a reminiscing on the memories and architecture of The Westway and Ladbroke Grove streets I grew up in. Limited to only 70 copies. There are only a few left.
Slide 5: Grenfell Tower circa '06. As it's being demolished, without community support, and there have been no arrests or charges – this is what it looked like before the fire. Before RBKC council tendered 'regeneration' work to private contractors who used substandard cladding to save costs. But at the cost of so much. 💚 Grenfell Forever 💚
Limited copies of the WIP artist publication Whiplash Memorial are available through the link in bio. There will also be copies at @bop_bristol next weekend.
