We got to say our last goodbyes to my grandma yesterday. The only way she would want us too, on the beach with her whole family. Stomachs full of Sawmill pizza, laughing, playing frisbee.
No one held it down like she did. If you were my friend then she was your Grandma. Simple as that. She made sure you were fed & that we HAD to take a soda to go from the down stairs fridge lol. She never missed an event. For anyone. 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, countless of nephews & nieces. Everyone was her family. & she made sure sure you knew it.
I catch myself day dreaming, wishing these last 12 months worked out differently. This wasn’t the way I envisioned it going. But im happy to know she’s with my Grandpa now. I know she needed a Maxted hug. I’ll see you in the next life Gma. Tell poppy I said hi 💙
