The Lamenters are slowly beginning to emerge. 🫧 Such a treat to share the studio with so generous performers - giving themselves fully to the process, gently opening their inner spaces and letting them be heard through voice and body. 👁️‍🗨️ We have been singing, dropping our jaws and we were holding hands. It’s been dripping from our eyes as we’ve crossed the threshold into singing laments from the most personal and at the same time collective places. Such intimate beauty - which we so rarely share. 🫀 I’m more than excited and equally nervous to create this work hovering between what we can control and what wants and needs to run free. The Lamenters will premiere on 4 September as part of KIN Festival and YES Biennale, presented by @sydhavnteater . Endnu en gang tak til alle 470 elever fra Kalundborg Kommune for at være med til at samskabe hver og en forestilling og ikke mindst danse sammen med os!!! Forestilling er et interaktivt koreografisk spil. Deltagerne får, som første skridt i spillet, udleveret trådløse høretelefoner, hvori de bliver guidet i spillets regler og opgaver. De er nu blå, røde eller grønne - deres identitet gennem spillet. Hver gruppe møder deres danser, deres gamemaster, som de skal følge i tykt og tyndt, og som gennem dans viser dem vejen. Det handler fra nu af om at være kreativ med kroppen!

🌘 Varmt välkommen till de visningar som inviger Dansmånaden i Ronneby, lördagen den 30 augusti kl.18.00 på Massmanska kvarnen. 🌗Residenskonstnärerna Max Wallmeier och Lisa Colette Bysheim arbetar med sitt kommande verk ”Smooth Oscillator” — ett dynamiskt, spekulativt universum där tiden flyter annorlunda, kroppar förvandlas till landskap och gränserna mellan verklighet och fiktion ständigt förskjuts. 🌔Welcome to the showings on Saturday the 30th at 18.00 at Massmanska kvarnen. The beginning of Dansmånaden i Ronneby. 🌒During the Blekinge dance residency, Max Wallmeier and Lisa Colette Bysheim will work on their upcoming piece “Smooth Oscillator” — a dynamic, speculative universe where time flows differently, bodies transform into landscapes, and the boundaries between reality and fiction constantly shift.

This spring we send each other weekly scores written by hand. They echo Times New Roman, classic print drawn onto thick paper that soaks up the ink from our pens. The inscribing process sometimes takes as long as the walks that the scores guide us into - dialogues of experiences, memories and instructions. The scores are the pre-beginning of an upcoming project to be developed at @estradnorr Mejeriet/ @skogen_masthuggsterrassen @sydhavnteater and @milvusart supported by @swedish_arts_grants_committee residency

In "fictions, stitched", Max Wallmeier and Maia Means explore the intersections of choreography and fiction with text, dry descriptions, fantasies and lots of paper. From an interest in how words shape the way we perceive physical realities, the work takes a questioning look at everyday experiences: the weather, the date and how the walls sometimes change meaning. The work has been made in the studio, by digital proximity and via messengers that carried dances across different cities. It’s about the intimacy and proximity of reading, about giving a dance and telling a story.
