I’m proud to present a solo exhibition of James Turrell for Gallery Weekend Berlin, in close partnership with Häusler Contemporary Zurich — an artist whose work has accompanied me throughout my career in a deeply meaningful way. A big thank you to everyone who came out for our two openings this week — Tuesday in Berlin and last night in Munich. Both chapters of „objects in mirror are closer than they appear“ are now open, and we can’t wait to welcome you in the coming weeks. Here are a few glimpses into the Munich show we opened yesterday evening. @maxgoelitzgallery Photos: Dirk Tacke.

Stop by our booth at Art Cologne, where we’re collaborating with Temnikova & Kasela gallery on a joint booth highlighting the intersections of our programs. The presentation brings together works by Rindon Johnson, Lukas Heerich, and Lou Jaworski alongside those of Edith Karlson and Katja Novitskova, represented by Temnikova & Kasela. Together with Jenna Sutela, who acts as a connecting figure between the two galleries, they unfold a multilayered dialogue in which complex systems, material processes, and sociocultural phenomena serve as central points of reference. @maxgoelitzgallery @temnikovakaselagallery @artcolognefair @jennasutela @lukas.heerich @lou_jaworski Photos: Dirk Tacke.

Join us at Artissima Turin where we’re presenting a solo exhibition by Ju Young Kim (b. 1991, Seoul) in the fair’s Present Future section, curated by Léon Kruijswijk and Joel Valabrega. The booth installation transforms the exhibition space into a hybrid of waiting room and transit zone, constructed from semi-transparent plastic panels and a waiting bench. On the walls, glass works from Ju Young Kim’s new series “Cabin Temperature” are shown alongside a piece from Kim’s ongoing “AEROPLASTICS” series, evoking the atmospheric interiors of an airplane cabin and airport waiting areas. @maxgoelitzgallery @yuuyoungkim @artissimafair @leonkruijswijk @joelvalabrega Photos: Sebastiano Luciano.

Join me tonight, 11 September 2025 (6–9 pm) for the opening of “Michael Venezia – Blankness as a knowing subject” presented by Kienzle Art Foundation in collaboration with max goelitz. The exhibition takes place during Berlin Art Week and honors the artistic life’s work of the artist, who passed away this year at the age of 89. It is the first presentation of Michael Venezia’s work since his death – and a remembrance and appreciation of an extraordinary person whose work shines far beyond his lifetime. Come by and meet me at Booth 62 at Liste Basel – I’ll be there until Sunday! I’m truly grateful for the wonderful feedback we’ve received on our debut presentation with Lukas Heerich, and I’d like to thank everyone involved in making this project a reality. Special thanks go to the curators Pierre-Alexandre Mateos & Charles Teyssou, who developed the project together with the artist, and to Precious Okoyomon, whose voice is featured in the soundscape of the sculpture. @maxgoelitzgallery @lukas.heerich @devilintraining_ @pierreamateos @charlesteyssou @liste_art_fair_basel Installation views: Lukas Heerich, Traum, 2025.
