At State Street Park, overlooking the Erie Canal and Oak Orchard Creek, artist Anne Duk Hee Jordan (@dukhee_ ) will present the U.S. premiere of "I travelled 66 million years to be with you and then you came" at the Medina Triennial this summer. Jordan’s interdisciplinary practice brings together ecology, science, and sculpture to explore interspecies relationships and environmental systems. “I travelled 66 million years to be with you and then you came” will feature large-scale barnacle forms set on fossil-embedded stone, using materials that filter and purify water. Drawing on deep geological time and coastal ecosystems, the work invites the birds, insects, and visitors of State Street Park into a shared, living environment shaped by resilience and adaptation. This work is originally commissioned by UP Projects(@upprojects ), UK, for Bodies of Water. Images: 1. Anne Duk Hee Jordan. 2. Anne Duk Hee Jordan Riders on the Storm May 1-Jul 18, 2026 May 1, 6-9pm We look forward to seeing you for our next opening on the occasion of @galleryweekendberlin . The exhibition considers ecosystems as dynamic yet interwoven processes. The presentation unfolds as a multisensory environment to immerse visitors in these intertwined ecological processes. Though autonomous in form, they remain conceptually intertwined, reflecting the way natural events unfold relationally rather than in isolation. These powerful formations do not occur by chance; they emerge as the atmosphere’s response to prevailing conditions, revealing the interconnected forces at play. Shifting the focus away from a human-centered perspective, the artist situates viewers within a broader ecological continuum. Duk Hee Jordan constructs kinetic and machine-like works that juxtapose robotic agency with organic cycles of growth, decay, and regeneration. @dukhee_

Field research and filming in the north of Finland for Love and Afterlife in Extreme Conditions. Together with Pauline Doutreluingne @paulinedout as co-director of the film, we worked across frozen wetlands and subarctic landscapes, tracing microbial, geological and atmospheric entanglements. The material moves between observation and translation, sound, image and speculative narration asking how life persists and reorganizes under extreme conditions. Sound compostion by Islaja @islaja collaboration with Schmidt Ocean @schmidtocean Commissioned by Amos Rex @amoskonst Part of upcoming solo show curated by @ithaoneill Looking forward to this new adventure

🔗Link in bio Gallery Weekend Berlin – The Art Podcast Produktion: @artbeatsberlin Hosts: @enums & @silke_hohmann_ @dukhee_ @alexanderlevygallery @antonia.ruder

Please join us for the opening of our exhibitions and the start of our Spring/Summer program! Make sure to attend our opening reception in celebration of the solo exhibitions Anne Duk Hee Jordan: 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥𝘴 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘺 and D’Andrea Bowie: 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵. 🗓️ Thursday, March 5th, 2026 🕛6–9pm 📍The Goldfarb Gallery Be sure to RSVP using the link in our bio! 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥𝘴 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘺 is the first solo exhibition in Canada by Berlin-based artist Anne Duk Hee Jordan. Shifting the focus away from humans, Jordan brings to light unseen connections between different species, and to forces of the world that usually remain imperceptible. The installation unfolds as a multisensory environment centered on ocean organisms such as phytoplankton and other deep-sea life. Visitors will encounter an immersive sound composition that moves through states of descent, breath, and vibration. GTA artist and York University alumni D’Andrea Bowie exhibition, 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵, consists primarily of ceramics and glasswork and is a deep investigation of her immediate surroundings, using materials sourced primarily on-site. Touchpoints for her are critical place-based thinking, a phenomenological approach to considerations of place and locale as being primary above and beyond human intervention. This exhibition is the first in a series of Alumni exhibitions. #WorldsAway #WinterWheat #thegoldfarbgallery

🪼 Swipe to meet the creatures created as part of the Bodies of Water schools programme. School groups in Wigan local to ‘Snail on me’ by artist @dukhee_ have been exploring the artwork’s themes through our Bodies of Water schools programme. In workshops led by local artist @annafcsmith , pupils were invited to collage their own mythological creatures designed to protect their local waters. The Bodies of Water learning resource for KS2 pupils is available free at bodiesofwater.site An inspiring learning resource for ages 7–11, it invites children to explore water collection, preservation, and distribution through creative, hands-on activities and artistic exploration. 📸 @annafcsmith
