RECAP PURIM X HOUSE OF DIASPORA Vol. II
@muenchner_kammerspiele
On March 15th, House of Diaspora returned to the Münchner Kammerspiele for the second time during Purim. In the sold-out Therese Giehse Halle, over 300 guests celebrated the evening — honoring life, the story of Esther, and our diasporic community. A big thank-you goes out to
@vjsb.de and
@keshet_de , who partnered with us to make this night unforgettable.
The next Jewish holiday hosted by House of Diaspora at the Münchner Kammerspiele will take place on June 1, 2025.
The internationally renowned Israeli vocal and voice artist
@victoriahanna_official will travel from Yerushalayim to Munich to celebrate Shavu’ot with us. As part of the evening’s first part, she will guide us through a collective journey of voice, mystical resonance, and sacred language in her live performance L’kolech Hashmi’ini – Let Me Hear Your Voice.
@shlomimoto , who gave a stunning performance as Vashti in our Purimshpiel, returns to the same stage for the second part of the evening to present ADAMA: SECRET LIFE OF STONES. Inspired by the concept of “Western failure” — the failure of nation-states in terms of economy, society, and ecology — Shlomi Moto Wagner spent time in the whispering winds of the Ramon Crater in the Israeli desert, listening to the stories and songs of rocks, stones, and the ancient, frozen life of the desert in order to share them with us.
House of Diaspora is a performance series by the INSTITUT FÜR NEUE SOZIALE PLASTIK, translating customs, rituals, and traditions of the Jewish calendar year into a contemporary context. The series opens up cultural spaces — such as the Münchner Kammerspiele or Berlin’s Humboldthain Club — to stage performative adaptations of contemporary Jewish worlds.
