New machine day at the @maverickworkshop turned into the new machine night. This 1,200 watt CNC fiber laser will be a great addition to my shop, along with the CNC press brake you can see in the background in these pics. It’ll be awesome to have this sheet metal capability here. This will cut through 10mm steel plate! It will also do laser welding, laser ablation (cleaning), engraving, & more. It has a secondary source, 130 watt CO2 laser for cutting & engraving other materials like wood and more, at up to about 1” thick!
I’m still waiting for it he rotary axis and the 240 psi air compressor w/ filter/chiller/dryer to be able to run it, so I’m hoping that arrives soon so I can start creating with this thing.
At roughly 7ft long x 6ft deep, this machine takes up about as much floor space as my Haas CNC mill, even though the bed is only 54” x 36”. But it will allow full 4ft x 8ft sheets to be cut via use of the pass-through slots on the front and back of the machine.
I haven’t had very much time to work in the shop lately, but I did recently make this “Black & Tan” ROLLER ring for my buddy @teejular who’s getting married soon.

I never modeled these brakes in CAD. I actually designed them at the CNC control of my Mazak machining center from a very simple sketch I had made.

Etched Titanium M2 Offset pen. This is the first functional prototype pen, although I still need to add the clip and its 3D mounting details.
This M2 OFFSET design is from a recent lanyard bead design I came up with (as seen in my recent posts).
