The ā€˜Lil Finder Guy’ Did anyone else spot this little guy recently in a bunch of the @apple offer ads & in the Neo keynote? See No Evil šŸ‘€šŸ”„ Next week I’ll be zipping down to London for the night for one of my longest talks to date for the lovely folks at @seenoevillondon šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ After I got a lovely invite to talk from @thiagomaia of @cookie_studio my head was instantly flooded with weird & wondeful comps to create to announce this next talk. Olipop šŸŠ Tastes like Saturday morning cartoons šŸ“ŗšŸ„£ I took a fully nostalgic ride at the end of 2024 when I helped @prepost3d & @drinkolipop create a fizzy, fruit filled cartoon, blasting a can through a world of custom type and blue skies šŸŒž I’ve had the honour of working on many jobs over the past 5 years, but these 12 seconds of animation are the proudest yet. From creating the custom lettering, through to illustrating and animating every aspect of this short cartoon, watching it back makes me feel like an imposter 🄲. What’s even better is that this was to be used as part of a bigger scene built and rendered by @prepost3d . Truly a nostalgic trip back to those cereal filled Saturday mornings šŸ„£šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ When we started this project the plan was to have three different channels, an Olipop TV lockup, the rainbow travelling can and then those retro SIP, FIZZ, POP combos. However after reviewing the split scenes the idea came through to stitch it into one and top it off with a quick little animated endcard ā˜ļø Have a swipe through for a few unused comps for the scenes, some unreal views of the scene from PrePost along with the non VHS version of my nostalgic trip! Why should the logo designers have all the fun šŸ˜‰ @logoarchive @logoarchive.now I may not make logos or even these kinda short form sticker animations anymore but I do still make little lockups and type like logos in my everyday work, weaving them into bigger stories and sequences šŸŽØ So here’s a few of my most used old stickers that for some reason struck a cord with the folks on this blue rock ā¤ļø #typography #2danimation #motiongraphics

Mirinda Made to Make You Smile ā€ØšŸŠšŸšŸ‡šŸ“šŸ„­šŸ I started the year with something pretty big…creating a giant motion toolkit for the new rebrand of Mirinda and having the honour of introducing it to the world with this film! šŸŽ¬ This one was a dream job lead by @renanavizzotto from @pepsico_design and designed by an all star cast of designers across the globe. We crammed a whole lotta stuff into the toolkit…Now we’re talking logos, headlines, transitions, posters, socials, backgrounds and much more. The team gave me the chance to really run free with my style, working it into every aspect of the identity. Plus theres nothing better than working with a completely new custom font and thanks to the likes of @naipefoundry ā€˜Mirinda Burst’ was born. This was the biggest project in terms of deliverables and scale that I’ve been part of. Crafting a 70+ page master toolkit deck filled with motion on almost every page was a joy and if I could show everything in post I would… But for now you’ll have to just settle with these next 10 slides as a sample, they show some of my favourite toolkit elements. Pinterest Presents šŸ“Œ PIN IT to WIN IT šŸ€šŸ…āš½ļøšŸ… A while back I spent a few months working closely with the internal brand design team at Pinterest to create both a visual and motion language for the 2024 Pinterest Presents event, an annual global marketing event where Pinterest showcases its latest ad products, AI-powered performance tools, and shopping innovations. To sit within a theme of retro sports, we created a real bold visual style that worked across assets like title cards, transitions, intros and countdowns. We drew inspo from classic sports collectables to create both unique character cards for the main event film and for executives who presented during the event. Swipe through for some of the final animated assets, some initial wip and other various motion tests. Puma šŸˆā€ā¬› Forever Faster šŸ’Ø This is what locking in for @puma looks like! Their tagline ā€˜Forever Faster’ struck a real cord with me…so on top of a having a newborn baby, a very energetic toddler & dog + an office renovation and a very busy freelance month… I made this šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø I knew it wanted to add a shit tonne of texture and to give it a heavy mixed media like feel, so I gave it everything I had. From frame by frame animation, to custom type, this one’s got it all! Pringles - Once You Pop… Last year I had the dream of exploring a new global tagline design and animation for Pringles. I worked closely with the team at FCB NY to really get into the thick of it and do my favourite thing, pure exploratory design. The project started off as a full custom tagline redesign, but it slowly shifted into using the updated brand typeface ā€˜Pin Up’. During the sprint we looked at pretty much every avenue you can think of…hundreds of different layouts, tonnes of custom type, combinations of type with the can & logo, explorations with Mr. P and much more. We had quite a few hurdles to overcome and really tried to push the boundaries, so a huge thanks to the FCB NY & JKR teams for their help/insight. Although some of this stuff never actually made it through or was used, it was a childhood dream come true to animate both Mr. P and for a brand I had in my lunchbox as a kid (remember Pringles Pop Boxes anyone?!) You can catch the final tagline on their new ad ā€˜Duck King’ which rolled out back in December. Welcome To Super Bowl Sunday šŸˆ Every year I try to whip up something for the Super Bowl, something that started after I spent a few months living in the state of NY back in 2022. In previous years I made a few simple stickers, but then last year I made a bunch of Eagles/49er stickers (one was even used by The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) bashed together into a retro advert.
