It is my favorite person in the whole world’s golden birthday today. She makes me speechless in all the best ways. She is the best friend anyone could ask for, fiercely loyal, and gorgeous beyond belief. To know her is to drink from a deep well. Everyday I learn more about how lucky I am. “Starlight” is out today. I am so proud of this record and my friend @jenjilove . Thank you for inviting me into your world all those years ago. I am forever better for it. There is plenty more to say about these songs, our beloved @dumbandrummer , and the other souls who made this possible, but I’m just so happy people can finally hear this beautiful work of art. Here’s to a hundred more albums.
“I’ll Believe It When I See It” - Matthew Wright
This song is a little inner dialogue I was having this weekend. Sometimes I am not very kind to myself, especially when I’m trying to change or do something difficult like waking up early or eating less ice cream. John O’Donohue writes in “For Courage” that “it is your own thinking that darkens the world.” That rings true to me. This is an attempt to befriend my self-doubt, fear, resistance and let them teach me what I care about and where I want to grow. Happy new year, folks!

Mornin’, folks. “Spider Bride” is out today on the ol’ platforms. I’m so very proud of it and the people that helped make it. I’m playing some songs with Tyson (@japhyrider ) on his book release tour this next week. We’ll be together in San Diego (4/10), LA (4/11), and San Francisco (4/13). I’ve been benefitting from Tyson’s stories for years now and I’m so glad “Where The Waves Turn Back” will finally be available for everyone to read. It’s beautiful.
