Challenge Run 4/13 for Lancashire Mind complete! This month's victim was the Blackpool Half Marathon
Been a little while since I've posted about my fundraiser, but things are still trucking along nicely. Thought it would be a good time to give an update on what's going on.
We're almost at £500 raised, which is absolutely beautiful to see, and I'm so so thankful. Still got plenty of the year to go, but if you want to chuck a bit towards now, the donation link is in my page bio.
Back in March I ran the Granny's Bay Challenge endurance race, and pretty much everything went wrong. I was bedridden with the flu two days before the race and was still recovering. Then on the day of the race my car broke down on the M6. I ended up starting 2 hours late, which really put a downer on my mental. Still, with everything that went on I managed to grind out a slow half marathon, while coughing my guts up. Less distance than what I'd hoped, but life is life.
Fast forward to this Sunday just gone for the Blackpool Half Marathon, and everything went much smoother! Good sleep, good weather, good health, and not hitting the dreaded wall as hard left me with a 5 and a half minute PB on my Half Marathon time. Not too shabby!
Up next: Chorley 10k... This weekend 🫨🫨🫨 Aiming for a PB again because that's definitely not a terrible idea 😎
