Three years have passed since the First Happening. We’ve released three beautiful records, and the fourth is at the pressing plant. We’ve curated six further Happenings and a choice selection of Delia Presents shows. Your enthusiastic Happening attendances, eager record purchases and big-hearted crowdfunder donations helped us get here. So, what’s next? We’re launching liarecordings.com today. Link in Bio Head to the Events page and you’ll see rare opportunities to see the brilliant Torn Sail live, Thursday 26th/ Saturday 28th March; and The Eighth Happening, Saturday 9 May 2026. And you can subscribe to our spam-free mailing list, there’s plenty more to come.

Here I am doggedly continuing the series of ‘What’s That Song About?” Though yet again I forgot to actually talk about the subject matter, instead reading out the extensive press coverage of this, my best work. There are actually more sold than left. It’s a beauty and respect to @deliarecordings for investing in such a fine production. Delia maybe a small label…a micro label but nothing is done by half. Link in the bio for that perfect Christmas gig.

DELIA#003 Steady Weather, the new double album from @torn_sail has received a lot of love. (Link in bio) “It really is a marvellous piece of music. I mightily recommend.” Ed Mahon - Music forDreams “My album of the year- nothing’s going to touch it!” Murray Scott - 1BTN “Oh my God it’s so good!” Wrighty - SoulBuggin/SwingDash “Immaculately performed and wonderfully crafted, Torn Sail’s third is perhaps their most affecting and quixotic yet, with frontman Huw Costin’slush baritone impossibly rich and heartfelt.” Wyndham Wallace (Uncut, Mojo, Classic Pop, The Quietus) God knows what the put in the water in Nottingham but the new Torn Sail album is sublime. Philcooper (Nunorthern Soul) “Stunning” AlicePalace (1BTN) “It is excellent...highly recommended” Ben Davis (Paper Recordings) “One of our finest songwriters” Justin Turford (Music Without Travelling)
