Here’s a moment I have been waiting for since I retired “mall manager” as a career aspiration and settled on “writer.” A finished book. I can’t believe I wrote it, and I can’t believe in one month, strangers can read it. What a dream and nightmare! But at least 92% dream!Special thanks in particular to @kwspoon1 and @missemilywunder for making this possible. You either never doubted me or never let me know. Either way, I am so grateful.

In the @nytimes, @garanceruta calls YOUNG AND RESTLESS a “heartening inspiration” and a “thoroughgoing examination of the role of young women and girls in America’s uprising.”I am so moved to see this book read and understood. It was worth spending the past several months as a pile of jangled nerves. I love these girls.

I love when @voguemagazine lets me go full guinea pig for health!!!! Tried a bunch of supplements for the new issue and am still tired, but now also optimized. Much can bring me down, but it won’t be these incredible B12 levels.TY @cfs1983 @chloemalle and Big Supplement.

Went to @umathurman’s house for @instylemagazine (it’s covered in books and that’s all I’m allowed to say about it!) and chatted her masshole upbringing, dangerous stunts, children’s fables, wacky accents, romantasy, AI, and demented ballerinas. She’s at peace with the past, zen about the future, and great at deep breathing. Go read!!Ty @danismcnally @sallyholmes should we all be the Bride for Halloween?

Like @tchalamet, I am extremely locked in right now. For @voguemagazine, I spent some time with the greatest movie star of his generation and encountered a man who loves: stunts, Carl Jung, and doing his homework (and hates: feigned indifference, small talk, and losing). It’s all in there! College blues, stratospheric self-confidence! The prospect of having kids! His therapist! Rehearsals with pumpkin-headed foot soldiers (swipe for photo evidence)! I loved it all.A real, actual high-school-me-would-have-dissolved dream to write a real, actual @voguemagazine cover. “Pretty major,” said Timmy, and I have to agree. Pretty major.

Can you believe @the_gentlewoman sent me to a (very very small) college reunion? I’d like to encourage more mags to let me interview old pals. @jswonders and @chasesuiwonders in print!!!! Go out and read a periodical!!!

We can’t get over this!! Our very own Kate was just featured in @voguemagazine — or should we say, Dogue in an article written by the amazing @matkahn ! Mattie reached out to Kate for help because her pup Marvin wasn’t exactly thrilled about sharing space with a brand-new baby human. This is a common private training request—whether it’s preparing a dog before the baby arrives, or helping them adjust after the big change.The article is such a thoughtful look at how training supports harmony at home.
