As part of our ongoing research project, Jenna Hendry and I are exploring conversations as a working method, an artistic practice, and a choreographic encounter.
We focus on people’s physical experiences, emotions, and thoughts around co-existence, uncertainty, and comfort - approaching these both individually and collectively.
Now, we’re excited to open this exploration to you.
We’re hosting a series of individual and small group conversations on Saturday, May 9th at @tictacartcentre in Brussels. Each session will last approx. 1 hour.

RESIDENS. 30 mars-5 april är Matilda Bilberg och Jenna Hendry på DansPlats Skog. Här kommer en hälsning från dem och deras arbete just nu: Dear Dansplats Skog,
Slowly and softly, we are setting the ground for our new project to take shape. A project we are lucky to be supported, among others, by you and a co-production by CCN Ballet du Nord in Roubaix (France).
Throughout our long-term collaboration, we kept asking ourselves how we can, through the art of choreography, facilitate and practice different ways of co-existing within the uncertainty created by external forces such as politics and environmental issues.
Our common curiosity about how to come and be together has brought us here to your beautiful church. For this week, we aim to develop methods for creation through embodied exploration in parallel with interviews.
How do interviews unravel in our moving minds and bodies? How can interviews be choreographic encounters?
Thank you, dear Dansplats Skog, for holding space so our bodies can unfold, our sensations pass through, and our imaginations wander.

Den här veckan är det premiär för MATTA, det nya dansstycket av Daniel Staaf med en fantastisk ensemble av dansare:
Daniel Staafs nya verk Matta är en koreografi och en inbjudan till ett rum där gränsen mellan scen och salong långsamt löses upp. Du kliver in i ett omslutande landskap där din egen rörelse blir en del av verket. Med koreografi och subtil ljussättning samspelar varje element för att öppna upp för en kollektiv känsla av stillhet, närvaro och nyfikenhet. Här blir ditt nervsystem en aktiv medspelare i konsten.
Matta är skapat för att väcka och förfina sinnena. De ASMR-inspirerade ljuden sveper in publiken och gör din närvaro till ett aktivt, koreografiskt element. Verket bygger vidare på de undersökningar som påbörjades i Daniel Staafs tidigare verk Fläta, nu i en mer taktil och omslutande form.

A new year is here, and I’m stepping into it with renewed energy and creativity. I’m looking for work this spring as a dancer, choreographer, facilitator, teacher, artistic advisor, outside eye, creative collaborator, you name it. Grateful for any leads, recommendations, or gentle nudges. These are tender times for many of us in the cultural sector, and I’m taking a leap of faith - trusting there’s space for our work and our voices.
