’Spomin’ 8c (10 pitches 350 m), first female ascent ✅✨🥹 This one means a lot. What an epic day of climbing, I don’t think I’ve ever tried so hard. 10 pitches: 6c, 6c, 8a+, 8c, 8b+, 8a+, 7a, 7b+, 6a, 5 I lead all the pitches, with the most incredible support from @tinajhafsaas - thank you ❤️ It took us 14 hours car to car, so we weren’t fast 😅 But climbing the last couple of pitches in the dark with no wind was a really cool mix of calmness and epic. Standing on the summit of Anica Kuk, completely exhausted, together is a memory I will cherish forever - and ’Spomin’ actually means memory ✨ It’s been an amazing process and experience to return to this project, feeling so much progress in my climbing since I was here in 2023. The climbing that felt uncomfortable and a bit intimidating last time, now felt interesting and fun to climb. I felt really good on the wall and felt so much joy climbing. On a more personal note, this was a very emotional day. My dad - whom I started climbing with when I was 11 years old and who has always been my biggest supporter - has cancer and had been in the hospital since a few days before. Things were not looking good. As I topped out the 8c and 8b+ pitches I cried. I had this strong feeling like I was doing this climb for him. That carried me up the wall. This one was for you, dad ❤️ Big thanks to @bill_jp_hamilton @carlos_cabrera_climbing @joelunema @larshaugvad @kirokristianbnordqvist for supporting me in training and through all the injuries I had this year 🙏 Thanks to @arcteryx @lasportivagram and @hyundaisverige for supporting and believing in me ❤️

IT’S DONE! 🥹 ‘Niemisis’, second ascent, in Niemisel 🇸🇪 Grade proposal: 9a My longest project ever. Feels surreal to close the chapter on this one ⛓️ I started working on the route spring of 2021. I was in a great shape and after my first trip I thought I would come back and send it quickly - that was not the case. In total I spent ~35 days in Niemisel in 2021, 2 days this summer and 10 days this trip. The route is unique in the sense that it’s extremely sustained, the crux consists of 19 hard, crimpy and technical moves in a row with no rest. I fell more than 20 times going to the same hold (crux move 16). Big up to @northern_climber for the vision and @hannespuman for the FA! Regarding the grade. Hannes didn’t grade the route. Comparing it to other routes and the feeling I had when I climbed it, It’s the hardest route that I’ve done. It’s also the route I’ve spent the most time / attempts on (also taking into account that the route was wet for a substantial period of time in 2021). I also used the ‘darth grader’ and came to the same conclusion as my own “feeling” of difficulty of the climb. Therefore I propose 9a. Would love for more climbers to come try this gem 💎 Regarding the name. Together with the local climber who discovered and developed the climbing in Niemisel, the person bolting the route and the first ascentionist, it was decided that the name should be changed from ‘Nybörjare 7b’ to the original name that @northern_climber had come up with - ‘Niemisis’ Thanks to the whole crew for the support this trip ❤️ @bill_jp_hamilton @thefreddymountain and Erik! 📸 @bill_jp_hamilton , 🎥 @thefreddymountain @haglofs @lasportivagram @petzl_official #climbing #sportclimbing #rockclimbing #klättring #luleå

Stockholm it’s been real. Tack 🙏 Or as we’ve been saying: Sto(ked)holm 😉 get it? Going up north means; longer, sunny days, an infinite amount of kindness & turns out there’s a ton of climbing right in the heart of the city. Days at @klattercentret_telefonplan were filled with enthusiasm and you made our Test&Feel booth the place to be. 🚐 Next gym stop: Munich (April 26-27) Come and join us for a climb together. 📽️ @crimp.films

Going from 100% commitment and peak performance on the wall to surgery and post-op recovery has left me feeling all sorts of emotions. But most of all I feel grateful that I was able to get surgery so fast and that it was successful. The strength in my foot is slowly coming back since surgery 🙏 This week I’m graduating from slow walks and light PT to actual PT and I’m so excited! Slow and steady, let’s go!! 💪

Last week I had surgery on my back due to a herniated disc. My lower back had been bugging me since I took a fall back in October. End of January things got much, much worse and I experienced weakness in my right leg and toes 🫣 The mri showed I had a big herniation (2 cm) that was pushing on a nerve, causing the motor weakness in my leg. Swedish healthcare has been absolutely amazing and I got offered to do surgery shortly after getting the mri results. After consulting with the doctors I decided to do go through with the surgery to get the pressure of the nerve as soon as possible and optimize for the nerve to recover. During the procedure, the surgeon actually found an older herniation that had calcified. Between the old and the new herniation, there was simply no room for the nerve to heal. Without surgery, I likely would have risked permanent nerve damage.. After surgery I also realized how much pain I’ve been in the past couple of months - which is gone now! Feeling super lucky and positive - I’m looking forward to be back climbing in a few weeks after some proper rest and healing ❤️ Thanks to my rock @bill_jp_hamilton for the best support ❤️‍🩹 Ps. book recs are highly welcomed :)
