MATHLOVSKY
Ghent (BE) based multidisciplinary artist working within underground electronic music.
Mathlovsky operates sonically between hardcore techno, bass music, industrial, gabber and noise, driven by a desire to push physical intensity and sonic limits.
Live performances are built entirely around the Elektron Octatrack, allowing for real time manipulation, improvisation and raw system pressure.
Each set embraces risk, immediacy and confrontation, shaped by space, crowd and sound system. Whether at warehouse raves, art exhibitions, club nights, or festivals, Mathlovsky brings a defiant approach to every set.
@modder_sludge has become such a nice vessel to channel my creativity alongside my brothers. The best part of it all is that i never need to explain or indulge the story behind the riffs because of the instrumental mayhem, either you get it or you don't. This is real air moving sonic expression and i'm happy to say my body can still handle it for years to come.

THE MIND IS ALWAYS SCREAMING can be found on my yellow 12" ep CYANIDE SMILE, released on @peaceoffrecords 2014.
Footage seen is me performing the track live at @bangface 2018, where i boldly asked to black out the venue as much as possible with some minimal rave lights to keep the momentum going. Grateful they obliged as the Queen Vic was known for it's meme visuals. While this has it's impact, i wanted to be the 'zwarte schaap' of the line up, as i often am.

@rotator__ is like a uncle to most of us, being welcomed in his family of misfits was and still meant a great deal to me.
25 years old and landing a vinyl release on THE breakcore label at the time was mindblowing or dare i say, mind screaming achievement. Just right after the hey days of crossbreed and a decade before breakcore became a social media fixation, although not in the form many of us older sound warriors would recognize it.
This EP is a milestone in my career as it shows that forming your path and staying true to yourself, you can achieve many artistic and spiritual satisfaction. Felt like a great scene earthquake happened sometime after i released this, forcing me to break free of many chains and feeling the light of my golden path shine upon my face.
This concludes my series of 4 callbacks to some solo releases throughout my 16 year long career (so far).
Many memories and many realisations that modern validations an artist seeks constantly changes.
Therefore the only validation that is true, is the one you give yourself.

VULTURE ICON can be found on my album GROTESQUE, DIY funded and released in 2019 with manufacturing support by Consouling Agency.
Video footage is primarily shot (other footage at local huis van verderf Charlatan) at the @ghostnight.be street festival, where i showcased a 15 minute set inside the storage room of @afsnis.gent where ultimately @owen.perry.weston made a surprise appearance hanging outside of the other window. This album was my most mainstream accepted release, with one of the tracks being nominated for best song at the now defunct @redbull Elektropedia awards. I lost to Zwangere Guy that year, no surprise there.
GROTESQUE is one of my all time favourite releases i've did, bringing in a part of the Ghentian hiphop scene into my universe. Hardcore can be so much more, this was one of my attempts at that.

We shot this video at various locations around my former house. What a day.
Releasing this ambitious rave music meets real drums 2x12LP during covid was perhaps pushing it too hard but i am forever inspired by the energy this album gave me for future exploits.
