This one was super fun because for reverse I went back in time to the 1990s when I was a raver!!! Long before I discovered bellydance (10 years ago at 43) I was a club dancer and while I didn't have fishbone fans then, I feel like they gave me the same feeling to dance with tonight...! And mythical, well that was a mythical time... if you know you know. Late 90s New York, London, Edinburgh/Glasgow, Ibiza...a truly magical time to be a dancer. 💙💙💙

I was very inspired to pick this topic today because its hard to get up close but as dancers its something we need to do every day with our dance and our energy and our eyes and our camera and our hands. And its a simple and powerful thing that requires absolutely nothing but just yourself and your heart and what you are willing to reveal to your audience. No, not your skin, but a little piece of your soul. Just enough to captivate, for just a few moments... but never enough to give it all away.

Ok I'm a day late for this one but I really needed to shake off a lot of emotions and also a lot of driving over the weekend (my whole body hurts!!!) so I put on one of my favorite drum n bass tunes and pretended to be one of those floppy toys whose feet are stuck (aka "magnetized") to the floor until you push the bottom of the toy then they can flop around. I needed to flop my feels out... and my shadow is obviously just me against the window.
