GAMBOSA - Colour selection also plays an important role in the kind of light Gambosa creates: direct light with the pale pink or black shade, or diffused illumination in the opal version.
It’s also available in two sizes.

GAMBOSA is a modern revision of the traditional table lamp with an innovative composition. A study in equilibrium. A dialogue between elements that defies the static rigidity of conventional design.Nothing feels fixed, yet the interplay is harmonious and refined.

Artwork: “The ambiguity of the open bottle” by Mathias Hahn
The auction will be available online starting February 20th (private access), and open to the public via Link or QRcode from March 11th to April 5th, 2025.
“During the course of this project I was enthused to learn about Morandi’s legacy and especially his private collection of objects.
This gave me a new insight and perspective to his work. My bottle design ‘ambiguity of the open bottle’ pays homage to my observations and is a bottle design how I envision a contemporary object that might catch Giorgio Morandi’s attention nowadays.
For me there is a layer of beauty in the fact that Morandi chose to continuously paint bottles being open and without a cork or cap. An open bottle has apparently been used before, which leaves us with several potential questions.
Has it ever been closed? When was it opened? Is there still content inside? Is it empty? Intended to be refilled? What did it contain? Will it be recontextualised, maybe as a vase? It is this ambiguity which holds narratives about the lived live of objects.
The neck feature on this design emphasises my observation.
The small jar is a side-kick to the bottle. Partly because Morandi usually chose a set of objects, partly because dining in company is simply better.”
Materials and techniques: transparent and powdered coloured glass. Hand blown glass.
🟥We are thrilled to welcome an artist whose unique creation, inspired by Morandi's vision, adds depth and originality to the #aroundmorandi project.
