A space that is there for you every day, Monday to Sunday from 8am to 1am.
A real all day eatery serving everything we love.

We are truly grateful to be featured in the May issue of @theberlinermag and to have the opportunity to share Material’s story and philosophy with its readers.
While Material is not strictly a Nordic spot, we’re happy to be appreciated by the Nordic community and welcome them any time. As the article beautifully puts it: we want to be a place you come back to.
We take pride in being a trusted ritual for all lovers of artisanal baking traditions, as well as carefully-crafted selection of food, wine, and coffee.

Freshly brewed specialty coffee, savory basque cheesecake and a stylish interior with the right amount of charm: @materialberlin isn’t your standard cafe. Open all day, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and sips of any kind. I really much love this place and I can’t forget about this fragrant filter coffee. The cheesecake had a strong heartiness to it but I loved it paired with the fruity jam on the side.

Big thank you to @casalevant for bringing lots of joy and Lebanese-inspired flavors to Material for the opening of the outdoor season.
Even though @materialberlin has always been on my list, it took me until now to finally pay them a visit. And while my expectations have been high given their aesthetic and carefully curated menu, I was still blown away by everything I’ve tasted. Starting with the homemade sourdough bread, which comes in an unconventional shape but with the perfect crunch. You can choose between various toppings but I went for the cheese and egg plate— purists will love this one, the focus here lays on the high quality products! Same can be said about the ricotta with mushrooms and hazelnuts. A lovely mix of flavors and textures. Phenomenal if you will. More details following soon!

Material is turning 3!
The first day of April marks our 3rd anniversary and we have prepared a whole month packed with events to celebrate with you all.
Starting on Wednesday, 01.04.26 (the actual day of our bday)
On that day we will be premiering our brand new Material BUN ❤️ Come by & celebrate with us from 8am to 1am ;)
April is also bringing back our Aperitivo Sundays: Stunning Spanish vermouths paired with prime quality spanish crisps & pickled mussels 🫠 #savethedate 05.04.26 & 19.04.26
On Sunday 26.04 we will be hosting @casalevant a unique pop up with middle eastern flavours coming straight from Copenhaguen.
And to end up this month of celebrations we have prepared a very special collaboration with @Lalai & @caiquetizzi just on time for @galleryweekendberlin
