Material Analysis 🔎🖇️ of
@kestin.co Stow Smock featuring 37.5® Technology
@kestin.co keeps on making incredibly considered material choices for their collections. This time, for their SS25 Outdoor Garments collection, Kestin returns to the archives with the Stow Smock, using an innovative fabric technology developed by Colorado-based company
@thirtysevenfive
37.5® Technology was created by a Ph.D. photo-physical chemist and inventor, who, after an experience in Mt. Aso’s volcanic sand baths in Japan, personally discovered that volcanic sand has the property to remove sweat from the skin quickly—providing instant comfort by balancing heat gain and heat loss.
37.5® Technology permanently incorporates ultra-porous volcanic minerals and coconut-derived activated carbon into the fabric. These thermo-regulating particles are permanently embedded into the yarn filaments and work by absorbing the infrared (IR) energy our bodies naturally emit. This energises the active particles to speed up evaporation and remove humidity next to your skin before it turns to liquid sweat. Likewise, in cold temperatures, these particles trap body energy to help maintain an ideal temperature.
This material is the perfect companion for the Stow Smock, making it the garment of choice for light outdoor activities during seasonal transitions, when temperature and humidity levels can change rapidly.
